We still can’t believe that Frankie turned 2, and we had so much fun planning her 2nd Birthday party. She is a big-time animal-lover, so hosting a petting zoo birthday party was a bit of a no-brainer.

Our first order of business was to find a great petting zoo in Orange County. We have been going to Zoomars since Ayden was small, so we decided to have a Zoomars birthday party! I was able to work closely with Ashley Dotson, their Director of Marketing, and she was a dream to work with. She got us set up in the Farmyard area, and all we had to do was show up 30 minutes before our party started.

We decided to do a morning birthday party, which ended up working out well, (especially because of nap times). We served Once Upon A Farm pouches as the kids arrived. These were a perfect, refreshing treat since it was already so warm out. We love these pouches because they are fresh and served cold, and we can trust the simple, organic ingredients. Our guests appreciated this as well.

Because we were throwing a morning birthday party, I wanted to provide breakfast/brunch-type foods, that felt appropriate for the time of day. I was able to create our entire spread from Costco, including bagels with sliced veggies and cream cheese, muffins, croissants, cake, fruit salad, coffee and LaCroix. I am a person who always worries if we will have enough food, and we had more than enough.

Professional photography was provided by my talented friend and one of my favorite Orange County photographers, Megan Condon. You can view her gallery here. (All photos in this post are credited to Megan Condon Photography).
All in all, it was a perfect celebration for Frankie, and the kids loved this petting zoo birthday party! If you are looking to throw a similar type of hassle-free birthday party, start by googling: petting zoo near me. And if you are a local OC mama, email Ashley Dotson, who is phenomenal to work with.
